"As a Mansfield-based fan of the band since the early 1980`s the news of B-Movie returning to play their first `home` gig for 26 years was exciting news indeed ! I`d actually been to that last gig in Mansfield back in 1983. Speaking with Steve about that gig recently we both agreed the kindest thing we could say about it was that it was as flat as a pancake. No such problems for the 2008 return gig though as both the band and the audience were on top form. The extra significance was this time it was all four of the original members unlike in `83. The ancient pub The Town Mill full of rustic charm including its old mill wheel still intact was the venue. I took my digital camera to film and remember their being a brick column partially blocking the view of the stage so I chose to film from one side very close to where Rick Halliday was on his keyboards. As it happened another fan stood next to me had the same idea and between the two of us we got most of the gig on film. I didnt get his name but his You Tube name is `JpsJps001` and `J` as we`ll call him I think got the better audio over mine. I`m also very happy J was filming as I accidentally deleted my clip of Remembrance Day ! The horror ! So enjoy the gig clips and please bare in mind these were not recorded on professional quality cameras. No video on phones then either ! So it`s a record of sorts of the band`s triumphant homecoming ! - Dave Smith
