November 20th 2007 - The Social ( Bodega ), Pelham St. Nottingham

"We are back by popular demand which is amazing...I couldn`t believe so many people were so interested in what we were doing these days"
-Graham Boffey

After 2 gigs at the Metro in London in 2004 and 2006 the band finally returned to their Nottinghamshire roots with this gig on November 20th 2007. The venue was the Social pub at 23 Pelham Street right in the heart of Nottingham city centre. Bands had been performing here since 1999, though 2007 saw the pub change names to the Bodega, the name it still carries today.

I was there for what was then my 2nd ever B-Movie gig. It was all standing and I was a few `rows` back and hadn`t brought a camera or anything to record the event. I was on my own but recall a friendly atmosphere and got talking to people around me as we were all quite excited and almost disbelieving B-Movie were back ! Im sure alot of the audience probably hadnt seen them before as the band had broken up back in 1986. The `home` crowd didnt let them down and the band were on great form to roll back the years for us.

I left it until the end to dip into my pocket at the Merch stand only to find they had already sold out of both `Nowhere Girl` and `Remembrance Day` T-shirts so I got the `Marilyn Dreams` one as a souvenir. I still where this regularly and am assured its a rare shirt now compared to the other 2 versions mentioned.

Anyway Ive found just 2 clips on YouTube from the gig and let`s get it out there THESE CLIPS DON`T DO THE SONGS OR THE BAND JUSTICE ! We know this, anyone whose tried videoing a live band, especially if you`re close to a speaker will not be able to do the sound quality justice when recording. However im pleased someone ( Jo Bo ) did capture these for the record. Well done for doing so to as the Nowhere Girl clip has had an amazing 34k views since !
